The Elche International Independent Film Festival (FICIE), organized by the Fundación Mediterráneo, has come to the end of its 46th edition with the closing gala and awards ceremony for the best audiovisual productions.

About
the Festival
Since 1978 we have been offering a space to meet and attract new talent in short film and, also, to promote its industrialization.
All this without neglecting our origins and always with adaptation
constant to the new times and ways of making films. Technology may change, but the desire to create is always the same.
Due to the quality of our juries, the quality of our awards and our 45 years of history, they have allowed the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences to admit us as a Goya Awards Preselection Festival. Likewise, the Association of the Short Film Industry (AIC) has also ruled to grant us the Recommended Festival mark in 2016.
Since 2020, the evolution suffered by the Covid-19 pandemic further accelerated transformations worldwide in the audiovisual industry and FICIE, once again, positions itself as a support and study of the best talents and trends in short film, feature films “first operas” and in TV Fiction.
