The quality of our juries, the quality of our awards and our 47 years of history have allowed the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to admit us as a Pre-selection Festival for the Goya Awards. Likewise, the Short Film Industry Association (AIC) has also decided to award us the mark of Recommended Festival in 2016.

Since 2020, the evolution suffered by the Covid-19 pandemic has further accelerated the worldwide transformations in the audiovisual industry and FICIE, once again, has positioned itself as a film festival that supports and studies the best talents and trends in short films, feature films ‘opera primas’ and TV Fiction.
